Bloom Yoga Bio
Welcome! I am the founder and owner of Bloom Yoga. I took my first yoga class freshman year of college. It was held in the early morning at my university’s cavernous gym and was nothing like what I pictured a yoga class to be like. Since then I’ve learned that yoga can be practiced anywhere and that its meaning comes from those times when the lessons learned on the mat are applied to everyday life.
Formally trained in Vinyasa, I am excited to offer classes based upon a mix of yoga traditions and in ballet barre conditioning. I have completed teacher training with Veterans Yoga Project and Yoga Warriors International and am certified in chair and children's yoga, as well as Level I Thai Yoga. I am interested in the therapeutic use of yoga and am currently completing my 300-hour yoga teacher training through the Kripalu School of Yoga. (hyperlink: www.kripalu.org)
My vision for Bloom Yoga is inspired by Thich Nhat Han’s truism that “if you know how to make good use of the mud, you can grow beautiful flowers.” I hope to provide a welcoming, supportive environment for you and your yoga practice to bloom.
